I have two posts that need to appear here this week (the post I am procrastinating on about the first day of school and the post I haven't got to yet about winning a copy or two of the newest Ella Publishing Co. eBook I contributed to—stay tuned for both of those sooner rather than later, hopefully) but before ANY of that happens, I must reblog a photo first.
Ah yes. There we are in all our 1983 or 1984 glory. I know this because there is my beloved 1983 Will Wagon* (Toyota Tercel) in the background; the one I drove for years, the one I shouted with glee when I watched the odometer turn to 100,000 miles while on Graham Rd., the one with a tip-o-meter, the one that you had to lift up your feet in the passenger seat when it rained while driving home from college or else your feet would get wet because of the rusted out floor... Here we are, wearing our matching MRZ shirts that I don't even remember owning (but so clearly remember what MRZ was—our close family friends' garden center/nursery in Streetsboro where I got to drive a golf cart around the property when I was far too young to be doing such a thing), right smack dab in the middle of shorty-short and perm season....
Classic. Thank you to my mama for posting that first : )
*We tease Maddie that the 2003 Subaru Forester will be her car in 2018. It is not really an accident that the Subaru resembles the 1983 Will Wagon in color (minus the navy blue part), style, belovedness. If I could install a tip-o-meter in it I would.
ETA: HEY EBAY KING. LOOK WHAT I FOUND.
