The first of two big upcoming photography workshops at Big Picture Classes is open for registration! (The other one isn't open yet. But insider tip: it is going to be amazing, too. You aren't going to want to miss it). When I was asked to be one of the six instructors for Finding Your Photo Style I wasn't sure I had one, exactly... and then I started to go through some thousands of images looking for the style that the folks at BPC thought I had and guess what? I guess I do have one. Ha. The more I've been working on the assignments for this class the more excited I've been getting about it, too, because all the photographers participating are bringing something very different to the workshop. I haven't even read the details of their assignments yet—but knowing what I'm working on from my end and knowing their work is enough to know that this is going to be a Really Good Workshop. We talk so much about composition and technical skills as photographers—essential elements, no doubt—but this is kind of different. It's all that plus a lot of thinking about what kind of photographer you want to be, and how you get there. Super valuable.
Check out the other photographers involved:
