A Real Witch

A Real Witch

So.

Maddie had it in her head that she was going to be a real witch this year, Roald Dahl-style. The kind you can't actually tell is a witch, because a real witch covers it up as best she can, remember?

You can see why this would be a tricky costume to pull off in her classroom. : )

It actually turned out quite well on Halloween, though the Halloween party at school went over as I expected—not that well. But look! Here she is bald (squint) with her long, black nails uncovered. (Real witches wear long gloves to cover up their scary nails). She has black spit (or at least a black tongue from choking down a little black licorice for effect) and inside her purse is a little surprise.
