The Capitol Building

The Capitol Building

Looking beautiful as usual, and a little more dressed up than normal.

About the flags: the one in the center is the current U.S. flag. On either side are two earlier flags: the "Betsy Ross flag," with stars in a circle from the 1790s, and the flag that flew the year Illinois entered the Union from July 4, 1819 to July 4, 1820. (Info courtesy of the program that came with the tickets).
