We had THE BEST dinner tonight—the kind of dinner you think about for days afterwards because it was just that good. It wasn't at a 5 star restaurant, or even at a restaurant at all—no, it was at Maddie's school cafeteria. We cannot recommend highly enough attending the Kindergarten Potluck Thanksgiving Feast when the kindergarten is made up of not just born-in-the-U.S. kids, but also born in Egypt, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Bolivia, Peru, and Morocco. Even Gracie did a fair share of gobbling, though a large part of her gobbling was of the Bolivian cake made by our Bolivian grandma friend from the bus stop. (It was highly gobble-worthy). Matt will be daydreaming about some sort of Ethiopian crepes and curry, and jasmine rice and spiced meat something-or-other for the next week.
Our own Thanksgiving preparations are looking mighty bland all of a sudden.
