On Tuesday evening Matt took Maddie and Gracie to a movie, so Bridget and I had the house to ourselves. This does not happen very often, and we took advantage of our time by reading library books, dancing to Social Music by Dan Zanes, inspecting all the big girls' Halloween candy, and having dinner together. On the menu: quesadillas with more than just cheese—because Bridget will eat just about anything except blueberries as far as I can tell, including black beans, tomatoes, and green onions. And sour cream. Oh, did Bridget ever love dipping her quesadilla in sour cream.
This is Bridget's Very Stern Look, which is quite funny, actually. She learned it from the Yes-No game we've played with all three girls; it's hard to explain how it works, but it involves very expressive faces. Bridget quit shaking her head no a while ago and just does the Very Stern Look when it's time to say no.
And so ends my dinner date with the 18 month old Bee.
