We've been working our way through every episode of every season of The Muppet Show for about three years now (this is a story all to itself for another day). For whatever reason, and don't think about this for too long, Alice Cooper's episode (#307, 1978) made a huge and lasting impression on all the girls—but especially on Bridget. She loved that episode, despite the fact that it very may well be the creepiest, weirdest Muppet Show episode ever made.
Anyway. Here is the transcript to a completely random, out of the blue conversation we had in the car today:
Bridget: Mama, is Alice Cooper dead?
Me: No, no, he's still alive. [She really is this random. And quite frankly, this weird. It is weird for a four year old in the year 2011 to be asking the mortality status of Alice Cooper.]
Bridget: ALICE COOPER STILL LIVES?!?! [I didn't see her say it because I was driving, but I can only imagine that her face mirrored the incredulous tone of voice she used]
I think that should be the name of his next album. (Is he still making albums?) Alice Cooper Still Lives. And now, please enjoy a clip from 33 years ago.
